  Sion Centre for Dialogue and Encounter.  29th January 2017 The Sion Centre for Dialogue and Encounter was privileged to host an afternoon with Bob and Ann Kirk.  Bob and Ann told their own individual stories of coming to England on the Kindertransport.  They shared with us their memories of their happy childhood and family lives in Germany before the war and also the terrible events of the night of 9th November 1938, Kristallnacht.  They also spoke of the courage of their parents who made the difficult decision to send them to England for safety.  They never saw their parents again.  They will never forget the kindness of the people who welcomed ...

Last weekend, (10th – 13th November) the Sisters of Sion in the UK / Ireland  region met here for their  Regional Assembly.  Earlier in the year  three of the sisters had attended our General Chapter in Brazil, and this weekend they shared with us the life and work of the Chapter.  The four main themes that emerged as priorities for us in the  next few years were : Apostolic life, Formation, our Structures and Consecrated life.

Mercy – notes on the Spirituality days in London 14-16th September Today is the feast of St Matthew the evangelist and the reading has the message “I ask for mercy not sacrifice” and this is a fitting introduction to the days we shared together in London.  The first two days, Wednesday and Thursday were led by Jonathan Gorski , lecturer in Jewish Studies in Heythrop.
