Worthing Community welcomes friends & associates
On Sunday January 17th The Worthing Community welcomed a good group of our friends/Associates, about 26 in all,  to a Meeting and delicious tea. Sister Anne McNally delivered a beautifully prepared talk centred on January 20th 1842. Her theme was Darkness and Light. She brought the significance of the story up to our life today and how each one could make a difference. We are very grateful to Anne for contributing to a wonderful afternoon. It was a delight to meet with men and women who are passionate about our Sionian Charism and who have such a deep understanding of it, and always thirsting more.

On January 20th, Sisters Elise, Tessa and Carolyn attended the School Assembly for Founders Day.  This was magnifecntly present by Mrs. Anne Marie Coe, a past pupil of the school, and the Deputy Head Master Mr. Steve Jeffery. The story of January 20th was retold and its meaning for us today was During the singing of a moving song lighted candle, battery lit, were passed from one to another of all in the hall. Father Theodore said"This flame must set other flames alight!" It was a truly moving experience.
At 11.30am  Dom Stephen Ortiger, Vicar for Religious in the Arundel and Brighton Diocese, celebrated a special Mass for us with Friends/ Associates and we all enjoyed the gorgeous Feast Day lunch fwhich followedl. It was indeed a very special day enjoyed by each one present.
